Another Mother's Hoverboard

licking pavement

she wakes up
her days happen

to themselves

she is bored
but busy

like licking
pavement

it's almost futile

but then epiphany
or milestone
or moment of
sheer joy

melts away
the hardness

her lines soften
she is no longer
all held together

a whole
contstructed

an assembly of
many parts

seamless

I love this part:

her lines soften
she is no longer
all held together

there is a part of me that understands the blurring lines and the kind of confusion that brings...sort of a lost feeling...
for me anyway.

Great poem! Love it, as always!!
